Spiky Bridge

Swansea

Spiky Bridge lives up to its name. This bridge was built using convict labour in 1843 without the use of mortar or cement. The ‘Spiky’ name comes from the jagged stones that just out the top; it’s said that these were installed to prevent cattle from falling off the bridge.

Spiky Bridge is a quick stop, and easy to access while driving down the East Coast.
